EcQ® — The Employee Alignment Monitor

Reputation Institute has measured employee alignment using an integrated instrument called EcQ® – the Employee Alignment Monitor. Most companies struggle with employee alignment. Managers lack the detailed understanding they need of the degree to which employees support corporate objectives. Reputation Institute has been conducting research on employee alignment over the past several years to help companies gain insight and knowledge into how employee support affects a company’s strategic direction. Research to date shows that four factors predict employee support: Awareness, Attitude, Capability and Understanding. These four factors are antecedents of support and must be carefully nurtured and developed if a company is to maximize its chances of successful implementation of business and corporate strategies. Research has been conducted in more than 25 companies in over 130 countries, with fieldwork in 14 languages. The growing database enables global benchmarking against comparable companies.
EcQ® assesses strategic alignment quantitatively using two sets of indicators:
a) Stimulators of dialogue and empowerment
b) Indicators of employee support
