Ana Luísa Almeida is Managing Director and Academic Representative for the Reputation Institute in Brazil. On the academic field she has a doctorate in Business Administration at the Universidade Federal de Minas GeraisUFMG in Brazil and Erasmus University in Holland and currently lectures at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas GeraisPUC Minas and Fundação Dom CabralFDC, two of the most renowned education institutions in Brazil. As a consultant, she has an experience of more than 20 years in the field of Corporate Communication, developing projects for companies such as Cemig, Vale, Petrobras, Gerdau, Samarco, ArcelorMittal, Holcim, amongst many others.

Reputation Institute's 14th International Conference on Corporate Reputation, Brand, Identity and Competitiveness. - 10-11 Sep 2009

On September 10th and 11th, Jussara Belo and Marcus Vinicius Dias, RI Brazil Advice Managers, will present a lecture on "Reputation Management and Sustainbility" in a workshop at the "Sustentar 2009" forum. This is the 2nd International Forum for Socio-Environmental Responsibility and Sustainable (SUSTENTAR) and it will take place at Minascentro in Belo Horizonte. Switzerland is the Most Respected Country in the World. Reputation Institute Releases Results of its 2009 Country Reputation Study (Press Release). - Sao Paulo, Brazil

Ana Luisa Almeida, Managing Director of Reputation Institute Brazil, presented on the topic of Reputation and Sustainability at the "Sustentavel 2009" event alongside more than 55 speakers, attended by 1500 people. Additionally, RI Brazil launched the "Projeto de Pesquisa em Reputacao Academia 2010" award. The objective of the award is to promote and disseminate knowledge about corporate reputation and related themes in Brazil. - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
On January 20th, Reputation Institute opened a new office, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, increasing and improving their operations in the country. The new office is headed locally by Dario Menezes, Director of New Business Development. Dario has experience in marketing and business strategy for some of the largest companies in Brazil, such as Vale and Varig Airlines. The office is located at Av. Presidente Wilson, 231, 5th floor.

On October 14th, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, RI Brazil promoted a videoconference about "Communication and Investor Relations", at Petrobras. Anthony Herrling, Managing Director of Brainerd Communicators, conducted the conference. The event was hosted by Petrobras and sponsored by RI's Corporate Platform in Brazil: Algar, ArcelorMittal, Cemig, Gerdau, Holcim, Itau, Petrobras, Samarco, Telefonica, Vale and Votorantim. Among the attendees were representatives of some of the largest companies in the country.

On September 15th, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Dr. Charles Fombrun, Reputation Institute's Chairman, was invited to participate as a speaker at the Panel Social Responsibility "The Contribution to Business Performance of Rio Oil & Gas Conference 2008", which main theme this year was "21st Century Oil & Gas Industry: Technological Challenges." The panel's objective was to show that social responsibility is related directly to the adoption of excellence standards in business management, approaching aspects of sustainability that lead to perennial activities, investment sustenance and the reduction of social and environmental risks and crisis situations. Charles spoke about Reputation Institute's vision regarding reputation aspects that can affect business, financial profit and oil companies' relationship with their target audiences, positively or not.

On August 13th in Vitoria, Brazil, Nicolas Trad, Managing Partner of Reputation Institute, was invited to participate as a speaker at "The Sustentavel 2008, Sustainability and Communication - 4th Meeting: The role of Communication on the Sustainability" - promoted by CEBDS (Conselho Empresarial Brasileiro para o Desenvolvimento Sustentavel). On July 23rd, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Gerdau hosted a workshop on "Internal Alignment, Values, Culture and Identity." The event was conducted by Dr. Cees van Riel, Vice Chairman of the Reputation Institute.
