Seamus Gillen BA MBA FCIS worked for the UK Government as a senior policy adviser, becoming Private Secretary to the UK Secretary of State for the Environment, and then the UK Deputy Prime Minister. He oversaw a number of significant policy initiatives including the Kyoto Protocol, and the development of London Docklands. He moved into industry as the Company Secretary and Director of Regulation at AWG plc, a water and utilities company listed on the London Stock Exchange, and subsequently became Head of Public Policy and Regulation at O2 plc, another UK listed company, before it was acquired by Telefónica.
Prior to joining Reputation Institute, Seamus ran his own practice advising companies on issues relating to reputational risk, governance, disclosure and business metrics. His areas of expertise include financial regulatory disclosure relating to the narrative section of companies' annual reportsincluding his work for the UK Investor Relations Magazine Awards for the best narrative disclosure by a company listed on the London Stock Exchange, and the ICSA Hermes Awards scheme which acknowledges companies' disclosure relating to their governance performanceand the roles, responsibilities and duties of company directors. Seamus is particularly interested in the links between reputational risk and corporate governance, and the strategic importance of these issues in creating value, generating investor confidence, and building sustainable advantage with wider groups of stakeholders.

Arif Zaman is a Principal Consultant with Reputation Institute. He is the author of the Financial Times Executive Briefing on Reputational Risk (2004) published in Russian in 2008 and being adapted and updated for Asia. This built on a major benchmarking study on reputational risk by Arif when he was Global Market and Industry Analyst at British Airways (1996-2005) where he won several company and industry awards including for his contribution to BA's Business Principles and Sustainability Policy.
Arif is on the Board of the UK-based Strategic Planning Society and the Editorial Board of the US-based Journal of Business Strategy. An advisor to the Commonwealth Business Council and on the visiting faculty at Henley Business School's Centre of Reputation in the UK where he was sponsored for his MBA by British Airways, he was previously at HSBC. Arif is active in the community and a founder member of the Council of HRH The Prince of Wales Mosaic Muslim Programme launched in 2007.
