November 19, 2004 RI hosted a Reputation Forum in London, UK in conjunction with the Cass Business School and The Wall Street Journal Europe. Results of the RI’s first study of public perceptions of companies in the UK were released. (PDF) >
June 28, 2004 The RI conducted an invitation-only one-day seminar in Athens (Greece), hosted by Tradelink CEO and Greece's RI Representative Petros Constantinidis.  Participants included Charles Fombrun, Cees van Riel, and Kasper Nielsen.  Joy Sever (Harris Interactive) and Francesco Ciccolella (former head of global branding for LEGO) also presented to a group of some 60 executives of Greek and international companies.
June 9, 2004 RI conducted a seminar on Building Winning Reputations in Copenhagen, Denmark on Wednesday, June 9, 2004.  The day-long event was hosted by Denmark's RI Representative Majken Schultz and the RI Consulting Group's Kasper Nielsen at Copenhagen Business School.  The session also featured presentations by Joan Lollar (FedEx), Michael Rasmussen (VELUX), and Anders Schroll (H. Lundbeck), as well as an analysis of corporate brands by RI Managing Director Cees B.M. van Riel. (PDF) >
May 10, 2004 RI Nordic released the topline results of its first survey of the reputations of Sweden's most visible companies on May 10, 2004.  Invited participants joined a seminar hosted by Swedish RI Representative Tony Aperia with Stockholm University.  RI Consulting Group's Nicolas Trad presented an analysis of the results.  RI Executive Director Charles Fombrun discussed the findings of his recent book Fame & Fortune and described patterns demonstrated by top rated companies in four countries.
May 4, 2004 IBM, Factiva, and the Reputation Institute jointly hosted a forum for senior corporate communications professionals on May 4, 2004.  The invitation-only event featured a variety of presentations by senior executives from MCI, the Pew Charitable Trust, and Harris Interactive.  Reporter Julia Hood of PR Week moderated a panel of executives that included representatives of FedEx, Wells Fargo, Altria, and Johnson & Johnson.  The RI's Charles Fombrun & Paul Argenti addressed the assembled group of 30 participants at Reuters' new headquarters building overlooking Times Square in New York City.  >
March 23, 2004 The Netherlands RQ 2004 Awards were held on March 23, 2004.  The event was hosted by RI Managing Director Cees van Riel.  Also attending was John Browne of RI Consulting Group U.K.  In addition to releasing the annual ratings of the best corporate reputations in The Netherlands, The RI's Best RQ 2004 Award was presented to Heineken's Chief Executive Officer, Thony Ruys  >
Febraury 26, 2004 The RI held its 1st Reputation Forum in South Africa in Johannesburg on February 26, 2004.  In addition to RI founders Charles Fombrun and Cees van Riel, participants included Wesley Hill (AMR Interactive, Australia) and Oliver Freedman (Harris Interactive), as well as Kasper Nielsen and Nicolas Trad (RI Consulting Group).  The sessions were hosted by Charles Proudfoot and Rory Boyes-Varley, and the event was sponsored by Monitoring S.A.  >
Febraury 18, 2004 RI-Denmark hosted a seminar and dinner at Copenhagen Business School (CBS)  The event was chaired by Majken Schultz, Professor at CBS and Director of RI-Denmark.  A presentation discussing preliminary results of the 2004 RQ Denmark project was made by the RI Consulting Group's Kasper Nielsen and Nicolas Trad.  Charles Fombrun discussed the findings of his new book with Cees van Riel, Fame & Fortune.
November 20-21, 2003 The annual IABC Delahaye Research and Measurement Conference was held in NYC on November 20-21, 2003. Among the speakers were Delahaye CEO Mark Weiner, RI Executive Director Charles Fombrun, and a variety of corporate participants. The previous conference was held on November 7-8, 2002.
April 30, 2003 The first Annual American Business Awards were held on April 30, 2003 at the ballroom of the Sheraton Hotel in New York.  The gala event was attended by over 500 representatives of leading companies from all over the United States.  Awards were given in numerous categories and awardees were selected by a judge's panel after review from an open nominations process.  Charles Fombrun presented the Reputation Institute's 1st Stellar Reputation Award to Johnson & Johnson, based on J&J's consistent results on Annual RQ surveys 1999-2002.  Willard Nielsen accepted the award on behalf of J&J. March 5-7, 2003 The Reputation Institute and the Foro de Reputacion Corporativa (FRC) held the first European Forum on Corporate Reputation (view the conference program) in Spain: The Building Blocks of Corporate Reputation and Public Trust, Converting character to Currency using Cutting-Edge Reputation Measurement, Management, and Strategy. The conference was hosted at the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid, March 5-7, 2003, and sponsored by FRC memers Agbar, BBVA, Repsol YPF, and Telefonica.  >
