Reputation Institute is on Way to Back Bay

The Cambridge firm, which tracks and analyzes public perceptions of its 400-plus clients, plans to open its new headquarters, at 399 Boylston St. in the Back Bay on Nov. 14.

It’s one of the first big changes implemented by chief executive Kylie Wright-Ford since she started in the job this past summer. She also recently hired a new chief financial officer, David Stack, whose career includes CFO stints at HubSpot and Localytics.

The new office, with 15,000 square feet, is triple the size, with enough room for 75 employees — and one roving robot that will allow executives from overseas to participate in meetings via a video connection.

Crossing the river was important because most of the company’s clients are communications and marketing professionals and there’s a greater density of them on the south side of the Charles, particularly in the Back Bay. Wright-Ford says at least half of the local employees will see their commute improve as a result of the switch.
